I did a search and couldnt find anything so here is the situation. While doing some slow around town driving the SES light came on. Shortly after a oil change at jiffy lube by the way, but I think it is a coincidence. The guy that did it was a maxima owner/lover and was careful I presume. So i go to autozone and get code P0302 cylinder 2 misfire. The car just rolled over 44k miles and i just bought it about 800 miles ago. It runs perfectly fine, smooth running, no hesitation, no noise, pulls hard to redline.
Dont know the service history. What should i do??? Reset computer and see what happens?

Do you guys think it is just spark plugs needing to be changed? I am about to leave on a 600+ mile round trip to florida tomorrow, is it safe?

PS... I just reset the ECU and went for a little drive. The SES lights did not come back on. Safe to take on my trip tomorrow?

 

Don't worry about it. I wouldn't think twice about take that trip.
