SES Appears & Disappears in 300 mi.?????
SES Appears & Disappears in 300 mi.?????
I'm certain this has been addressed b4, but looking for some simple input.....
Got an SES light about 300 mi. ago.....just filled-up my tank the other nite, and it magically went away.
Can't figure this one.
I've had SES lights appear and disappear b4, but not THAT quickly.
I use the same gas (Chevron Supreme) EVERY tank, the gas cap was secure, and nothing else has changed on the car or engine within that time frame.
I'm confused, but also happy. The car runs fine - I just am dreading the trip to the stealer to hear that my CAT has gone bad AGAIN!!!
Any ideas anyone??? Anyone else has this???
Thanks.

The check engine light only comes on when an active fault is detected a certain number of times in a row (I think its 3, but I could be wrong). If the problem is intermitent it could have shut off, but you will still have a code stored in the ECU for the fault.
