shaking while braking/driving

When i drive on the highway my steering wheel shakes a bit..when i use the brakes at high speed shakes more. ppl say my rotors are warped..but they are 1 month old brembo blank discs. i dont think they are warped. i have 1 month old non oem basic pads in front also. when the brakes heat up they make a grinding noise and i cannot figure out what this is its frustrating me so much. anybody help, please?!

If on the highway and you brake, if your steering wheel shakes and you can hear a "duh duh duh" sound, then your rotors are warped.

My guess is your bearing is shot. Lift the front of the car with the wheels on. Then try wiggling the wheels. If it moves, the bearings are shot.

If they are shot. Don't drive the car anymore until you get it fixed. I found out today that my hub is shot because of my bearing.

first guess are rotors, but i know brembo blanks are great so unless u put them in ice right after hard driving, or way way overtightning lug nuts its not them. also did u change rotors and pads at same time? could be reason but also highly unlikely.

maybe try to reballance the wheels.

then id look at the bearings.

First what kind of pads are you using. If you are using semi metallic then switch to ceramic and then have your rotors turned. Your rotors have metallic pieces inbedded in your rotors causing the steering wheel to shake when you brake. Turning them will get rid of the metal piece in your rotors and cermic pads will solve that problem

Were the new pads bedded properly??? Throwing all the money in the world won't fix a thing unless you bed the pads properly.

Yeah, i had semi metallic put on mine once and they made a grinding sound all the time. Realized they messed up and needed ceramic, grinding went away. Shaking could be numerous things

OK...so i will switch to ceramic pads....what do you mean by have your rotors turned? like put the right on the left and vice versa? i remember hitting a HUGE POTHOLE awhile back could have knocked something off balance. ill try balancing the wheels also. and by the way thank you everyone for the input I greatlyu appreciate it.

turning your rotors means to shave your rotors so that the surface is clean and smooth.

I have a similar problem, that I didnt think warranted a new thread. Sometimes when I break (around 5-10mph) my car pulls hard to the left or right. Any ideas on what that could be? My steering wheel also rattles/shakes at 70mph +

I got an 03 from a Mazda dealership about 10 days ago. It shakes a little bit when I drive on the interstate. It came with a 30 powertrain warranty and does anyone know if that should be covered in the warranty?
