SES after car was on lift... twice

I just got my tires rotated at Kaufman (free rotate & balance w/purchase of new tires) and my SES light came on. The strange thing about this is that the last time I got my tires rotated from the same place the SES came on a day later. I got the codes pulled last time and it was one of the 02 sensors. A day later the SES light went off.

So, what would cause the SES to come on after the car was on the lift? I asked about the placement of the lift points and the 02 sensor is not near them.

Is it just dumb luck that the SES light came on or can this somehow be related? The crappy part about this whole thing is that I have to get my emissions checked to renew my car tag and was going to go this week.

Just dumb luck, and go ahead and get you cars emissions tested, if the light is no on when you drive in it should not be a problem.

I'm going to try the ECU reset if the light doesn't go off soon. It is just weird that the SES light came on after the car was on the lift.
