When to do a flush vs. a fluid change?
When to do a flush vs. a fluid change?
So, this is sort of general maintenance question. I just picked up my 03 GLE auto last week with 36K on it. I have no record of its service history so I am going to assume that the a/t fluid and coolant haven't been changed at the last recommended interval.
So my question is whether or not I should do an a/t flush or just a fluid change and how can I tell if it needs a flush or not? Same thing with the coolant. At the very least I plan on changing the fluids, but will do a flush if it's needed.
Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated!

look at the tranny stick and look for a dark red fluid...if it is you can flush it yourself.. follow my sig. As for the coolant, you should replace it every 12k miles per the maintenence intervals.......
