I have a few questions about the stock 17" tires that come on the 2000 models. I have heard a lot of bashing on the Potenzas and I am just beginning to think about my next set of tires. I want some good tires that will last, does anyone have any suggestions on brands. I would really like to keep the cost to a minimum but I know you get what you pay for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have 20k miles on my car and the tread seems to be getting fairly low. This is only my second car and I only bought one set of tires for my old car so I really have no idea how long tires are suppose to last. Thanx

 

put a dime to the track of the tire and face the head down, if u can see the eyes of the head...then those tires are not good. I use Michelin MXv4 and it is pretty good...better than the stock expensive toyo. Pirellis are also good tires.

pirellis are about 130 and michelin costs 145

 

What do you guys think of Nitto Tires?

 

I have heard nothing but good things from Kuhmo's 713, or 712 I forget which model. But they are about 100 a piece.

I heard the Nitto 555's are good, as well.

 

Hi I am new here and was also wondering about the Toyo's. Mine have like 85-90% tread left on them. I was wondering if I could get some money for them from a Toyo dealer.
