Whirring noise?

I am getting this whirring noise in front left tire.. it seems pretty constant at low speeds regardless of turning and stuff...
at higher speeds it goes away
it sounds like a bad bearing type noise...

How would I check for a bad bearing?

Anyone have instructions on how to replace it?

Thanks a lot for your help.

if your car is lifted ooff the ground, and your tires are secure, try shacking your wheel. If there is paly on it, and none of the ball joints are loose, its the wheel bearing.
