You don't even need to search, it's right in front of you. All you need to do is scroll down and find the ALL MOTOR section, where all they discuss is how to get MORE POWER out of their cars without the use of TC's and SC's.

omg, tell me you are kidding... last time i was at the drag strip, this dude comes by on his Civic Hatchback. i've never took a close look at such piece of... umm..machinery, so i walked up to take a look. Everything stripped, full suspension, some uber motor and a turbo. i was like damn, this guy is about to rip us all a new one... well, after he ran 4 passes doing consistent 14.6 seconds, i changed my mind. no doubt it is faster than my car, but at least i sit in a leather seat and make about 1000 times less noise. and with the money invested in that car, even my hopeless autotragic would do 14.5.

Here's an idea... if its hp you want, go to the Dyno forums and find threads of people with 5th Gens and see what they're putting down and their mod list. If its 1/4 mile set-ups you're interested in, there is a corresponding forum for that too. And if you're the gearhead you claim to be, do some reading in the All Motor forum to get to know these VQs better.

If you have more questions about specific mods that are unique to 5th Gens, then look through the stickied threads (FAQs and How-Tos) and search for keywords either using the search function or the free search methods outlined in the stickies. If that still doesn't answer your questions, then start a thread with some questions.

My opinion is since you have an 01, look into a SC for good whp (even though you posted that you didn't want to SC it), if not, then intake, headers, b-pipe, along with some AFR tuning and you'll be all set.
