Had TL-S for Breakfast
Ah yes, it was mighty tasty. The TL type S was what every growing boy needs to start their morning.
On the freeway in the fast lane, I see the prey merging onto the freeway at an accelerated pace. He crosses two lanes and then merges in front of me (cutting me off) in the fast lane. There was a car in front of me that I didn't feel the need to tailgate, but, apparently, the TL-S did.
The slower car moved over (FAST CARS TO THE LEFT!) and the TL-S took off... I stayed in fifth and punched it at 75mph. Here's the crazy part...
I WAS PULLING ON HIM!!! It wasn't drastic or an outrageous pull, but a pull none-the-less. I go in the middle lane and got to his rear bumper at 100mph. front doors at 110mph.
I merely laughed at his over-priced car and snickered at it's "performance.
I could only imagine what would have happened if i had dropped it down to fourth...
or even the dreaded third gear

Man you should have dropped it right down to third and opened it right up. At least that is the way I like doing it. I don't like playing games behind or beside them I just pass and a hammer it all the way. Then slow and give him "the look". That ****es them off big time!

Are you sure you weren't dreaming or better yet you just whish you did. It was either an old lady driving the Type S or some stupid guy put a Type S enblem on a regular TL (seen those before) There is not way you can kill a type S, specially with the mods you have. Go to sleep again and dream of somthing else..... If it was all a joke....good LOLz.

Hey the new I35 and 2002 Maxima would be more fair of a race with 260 hps. Well for the record even the 190 hps 4th gen Maxima can do 0-60 under 7 seconds!! Hmm can the 225 TL do the same? I guess you need the extra horsepower from the TL-S to do it then. :P

Let me throw some WHEEL HORSEPOWER to Weight ratios at you for Stock CL-S/TL-S's and Maxima's. The J32A2 engine makes 260HP at the crank, but most of them will dyno at around 200whp stock. For the Maxima's, the numbers below are typical figures, and even a bit conservative as well.
Lower is better, BTW, and they're listed by order of the best ratios.
1) MaxSE/5spd+mods: 3199lb / 190whp = 16.83 lb/whp
2) CL-S : 3510lb / 200whp = 17.55 lb/whp
3) MaxSE/5spd : 3199lb / 180whp = 17.77 lb/whp
4) TL-S : 3558lb / 200whp = 17.79 lb/whp
5) MaxSE/automagic: 3245lb / 170whp = 19.08 lb/whp
bwaahahahaha
So even a bone stock Maxima SE 5-spd with a very conservative 180whp has an almost IDENTICAL whp to weight ratio as a $32k CL-S! And I know a bunch of the guys here are doing BETTER than that as well.
Even a lightly modded Maxima 5-spd has a SUPERIOR whp-weight ratio over a CL-S/TL-S. The problem is that the Acura's are FAT AND HEAVY, stuck with a power sucking automatic tranny, and the J32A2 doesn't produce all that much power considering the weight of the car.

several automatic owners have stayed close to the TL/CL-S. This has been stated here several times. These guys are not known to lie or make up ****. So why then is it so hard to believe that a 5 speed can beat a TL/CL-S.
