Strange - Blower motor dead or alive
This morning i went to work and my blower fan was working fine. I even ran the AC, since it was 80+ degrees already.
I parked the car and only 15 minutes later, when i decided to drive it again, my blower motor did NOT work!
I tried the AC on/off but it had nothing to do with the dead fan. The fan did NOT turn on in any position (1-2-3-4)! Car has 83k miles on it.
I decided to check all the fuses and they were all perfect. Blower motor has 2 15A fuses and they both looked perfectly fine to me. Just when i was getting ready to call the Nissan dealer and schedule a service appointment, i decided to give it a last try....i started the car and the blower motor was working just fine.
It's been working all day long with no problems.
What could be the reason for this? I did not replace any fuses. I only took them out and put them back in. They looked clean. This is a 2003 car, not some corroded 1983 Dodge.
The reason i am concerned is because i travel a lot and the summer in California does not forgive you if your AC or blower do not work. It can be really really hot. (it was 104F today) I want to prevent this from happening again and i wonder if i should suspect the blower motor? Are these "weak" points on this car? Anyone replaced one already?
Thanks for any input!

i had the same exact problem around the same exact time! went to the store with ac on, came out, danm thing didnt wanna blow air. it did that on again, off again crap for a couple weeks til it completely died. Now that its winter, im having a hell of a time getting home from work with an iced over windshield. Only way i get warm air moving is by getting some speed on the highway and ramming it through the vents. If you're in bakersfield with a white 2000 i30 tailgating you on a cold morning, dont make any sudden moves
Wondering if its a simple relay that needs to be replaced or the entire motor. Anyone else have this problem? Find a solution?
