Sorry but im having an intake issue

So last night i put my Injen CAI in. After i went for a ride and noticed some hesitation around 4K Rpm when i would matt it. in first and second. This morning i get in my car and drive out of my driveway and the car starts bogging and bucking. I think it might be caues i never reset my ecu or anything. Am i correct or is there something else wrong.

Have you replaced yours yet? It could be on its way out and you swapping it would have been its last straw. Do you have a SES/CEL light?

If you haven't done and ECU reset I would do so now. When I originally put in my PR CAI I had the same problems, reset the ECU and I was good to go

Then just do it overnight when you sleep. That's sufficient.

There's a post in the 5th gen FAQ that had another Injen CAI user talking about the same 4K-ish issues you are having. He switched to a WAI and the problems disappeared i believe.

Im curious as to what you will do, as im currently try to decide what intake i want for my car.

I am having the same hesitation issue. I was having it before, with the origional intake, and it continues now with my WAI. I've checked the VIAS, cleaned the throttlebody, changed the plugs, and now i'm onto ordering a MAF. It'll be a few weeks before it comes in, but i'll keep you posted.

i have a Injen CAI and i havent noticed any major problems around 4k.

should you always reset your ECU when you add something new like a CAI?
