Hate this new helpless feeling.
You could always have a buddy from Canada or the states send you an alternator.

Nissan Peru will also be able to order the part, but be prepared for the stupid look from the parts guy the first time you ask. It is possible, be polite and persistent, and someone will remember how - I had no trouble ordering parts from GM for a German Opel Manta in Canada, and people with Japanese Skylines in North America get parts for them from Nissan USA too.

The other thing to look for is anything else sold where you are now that came with a VQ series V6 engine. They're all pretty similar, meaning it's either a straight fit or close enough that it could be adapted or fit into the existing alternator housing. ETA: The Nissan Murano sold in Peru comes with a VQ35DE engine. If you need the part right away, go to the dealership and ask to see it, it's probably the same or real close.

Good luck!

Thanks a lot for the tips homeyclaus.

The shop that took the car "rebuilt" the alternator. The shop is reputable, but I still don't feel comfortable.

I'm in the process of ordering a new Alternator and Starter "Just in case" from Canada.

Once they arrive, I'll change them myself.
