can you clean O2 sensor or must change?

i heard you can clean an o2 sensor with brake cleaner if it goes bad, can you do that or you have to change it? thanx.

you have to replace it because it goes bad...not because its dirty.

the o2 sensor must be replaced....you can clean other sensors however...i know the MAF can be cleaned...don't worry too much about o2 sensors...well, it depends on which one goes bad....if your secondary one is bad, don't worry cuz it won't effect anything except throw an annoying SES....if your primary goes bad, it will revert to secondary as back up...so your good to go there...however, if your secondary is bad as well, then your gas mileage will suck...
