I installed the Stillen RSB on Monday and have been testing out my car since. I got to tell you it is awesome. Just like everyone at the .ORG said. The second i pulled out of my street I could feel the difference. I've been trying to take corners at a higher speed then i normally do to see what it can do. Have not been disappointed yet. If you don't have one on your car I recommend it just like everyone else has. I forgot to mention that I also have the courtesy FSTB installed. Good combination!!

Another satisfied RSB owner. You guys/gals without one don't know what you're missing.

do you fellow RSB owners have to tighten your bolts every once and a while? I tighten the hell out of mine, but it looks like one could use another half turn...

The worst thing about the RSB is that you get used to it and you forget what the car felt like without one. I know what you guys are going to say, get new springs, struts, maybe later, after a lot of miles...

I have not tightened the bolts on mine since installing it. I occasionally check on it by making sure it is secure and it seems ok....

I haven't retightened mine either, but I do check them out when the tires are off. Yes, springs would be next if you're willing to sacrifice ride quality.

I should be getting my FSTB tommorrow and then i am going to install it right after work. It only takes about 10 minutes!! I am really excited. My short shift kit will be next, and then the RSTB and RSB. Those are highly anticipated cause the back end of my car feels so loose. Now all i need is tires that can take the handeling capabilities of this car!!

RSB before RSTB. Better yet, save your money on the RSTB and get springs.

I am going to wait to drop the car until the factory warrenty runs out. Conflicts with the dealer. I am going to do springs and shocks then. How does yours handle after you dropped it? mad good i'm sure

It handled great after the Eibachs and handles even better now. Good idea to wait until warranty ends (better safe than sorry), but it's going to take you a while.

Congrats!
Yet another person with the RSB installed while mine's in the garage!

umpopa: Would you be able to put up some pics and/or post when you're done so I can see what you did with the ABS lines? Thanks.

I participated (as a helper/go-fer) during the installation of my Stillen RSB Thursday evening. It took only 35 minutes, using an alignment lift at a local garage, pneumatic equipment, and an experienced mechanic willing to make a few bucks on the side after work, and gave me the chance to watch the installation closely. There is a cutout in the blue attachment clamps to permit the ABS line to run INSIDE the clamp without being pinched or obstructed at all. The emergency brake line is moved outside the installation zone with a spacer, and the regular brake line (the only one which isn't on the wheel/tire side of the longitudinal metal strut [it's bound to have a name!] to which you attach the clamps) doesn't touch the clamps at all...but the nearby bolt (the top one for the rear clamp) correctly is placed with the threaded end out rather than in, to avoid tearing up the break line. The installation instructions linked through the sticky thread on this forum expolains it far more clearly than I can.

..and then I hit the highway home, about 50 miles away, with 45 of them Interstate highway. I was blown away by the improvement in handling performance at speed (and had a lot of trouble convincing myself to slow down, 'cause I was having so much more fun!). The word 'awesome' comes to mind, but is barely adequate. I thought this was a great car for the first 5800 miles, but it's a quantum leap better still.

Next: FTSB, as soon as it's delivered.

You can find a composite pic of that freaky bracket on the 2k1 on my maxima/cardomain website (page 2). There's also a link to Paul's write up there.

Cheers!

umpopa: Thanks for the detailed description. Sounds like you're a happy man for awhile...especially on the freeway.

rcticmax: Nice site.

Yup, and again today (even when I cornered on city streets at less than 35 mph).

If you don't got a RSB, get you one!
