Just totalled my baby :wtc: 56k warning

So.....me and bundies are in cali right now, going to the beach to cruise around on the 91 going west doing about 70-75 when all of a sudden everyone in my lane moves out of the way to reviel a stalled truck in my lane. So i slammed on my brakes wheels locked up and i slid into the back of the truck doing about 50-55 mph. I had no time to react I feel like ****. When the officer asked for my licence and registration as i was walking to my car i cried. Im even starting to tear up now writing this. I kno i shouldn't be so attched but this was my pride and joy and well now i ****ed her up. Im still in shock from what happened, the air bags didn't go off which i found to be very shocking. Since we were in the middle lane the dispacher told us to just get out of the car and wait for CHP to come. It was really hard watching my baby sit out there almost getting hit numours times. Im lost for words right now....I got some pics. Ill do a before and after so the first two are before and the last few are after. Please keep comments as to what i should have done to yourself.

Ben, I know you were trying to sell her, and I hate that you had to give it up like this. Sometimes things just happen and you don't have much control. I hope you're alright, and everything works out for the best for you.

sorry to hear that man, but 50 mph rear ending a stopped vehicle coulda been a lot worse, so thankfully you can sit here and post this.

WTF. Sorry brotha. Can't believe your airbags didn't deploy. I had less damage then that on my 02 that was totalled and my airbags went off.

well the airbags you can look at as a good thing too, because they didn't go off, theres that much more of a chance it wont be totaled(hopefully) and is all repairable. Sorry to hear about your car, and I know what you mean about being attatched to it. I have bad dreams about my car, and they always wake me up and shake me a bit....

That blows. Don't you have to be traveling over a certain speed for the airbags to deploy? I'm pretty sure 50-55mph would qualify though.

Your front bumper doesnt look like it was crushed in enough for the airbags to go off. Glad to hear that your ok, but I understand. So much TLC and it comes out to this.

Dibs on your grill!

But really, sorry to hear about your car and I am glad you are ok. I remember how angry I was when an old lady swiped my front fender/bumper; I can only imagine seeing my baby looking like that.

might not be...the dmg looks high, so theres a good chance it didn't dmg the frame, but it did mess up the front endand his hood. I think it can be repaired.

The insurance company will weigh the options. IF the damage is more than the car is worth, they will declare it a total loss. I'd guess the damage on his car is around 10k....maybe more (including labor).

Sorry to hear about your car, Media. Only thing that matters is that you're ok.

Sorry for your ride man!

It's kinda hard to see on the pics you posted, but it doesn't look like there's that much of a damage. You will definitely need a new radiator new bumper/grille and a new hood (CF?) but that seems to be it.

Really sorry to hear about this... my BF had the same EXACT accident!! THe only difference is that the car in the middle of the parkway was not "stalled", the driver just parked it there and got out(for no good reason).

That really sucks and i feel your pain!! Thank god (if you believe) you are ok!!

I had the same thing happen to me. I happened to be alone in the car and able to get the hell out of the way of the broken down Jeep. Certainly saw my life flash before me. I was doing about 80. I didn't think or look, just cut the wheel.

First, off, as everyone else has stated, we're glad you and your buddies are all okay.

Second, gorgeous car dude. Though the damage looks bad, I doubt as well that it will be totaled. And yea, I would have cried too.

Its easy for the rest of us to tell you "don't worry it will work out" or other cliched statements, but there is some truth to it. You might not see it now, I know I have a hard time looking past the damage at hand, but things will work out. Hopefully in your favor. Good luck man!
