it's all good man.. as long as you and your friends are ok. That's why you have insurance.. get a new car and get moving along in life. Accidents happen.

I really hate to see this. Too many of these threads. Glad that you're doing well...physically anyway. Good luck with everything.

I am very very grateful you are ok! I can't believed you weren't transported. I believe you would have been, had a psychiatrist been on the scene!

I wish you the VERY best. I also hope and pray that your insurance/his is kind to you.

Keep us updated to her recovery!

Dude, I am so sorry. You put so much time into that Max it seems. To see it like that must make you feel like utter crap. Sorry mang, glad you are OK though.

Im glad youre OK. Id agree with you on one thing. The insurance will total it especially when the value of 02 Maxima has reduced. Id guess the cost of repair will exceed $12k so that might make your insurance company total it.
Good luck with your next car and cars could be replaced.

I have no idea yet. Now that i know the car is totaled im starting to think about my options. What comes to mind now are:

VW GTI 1.8t
540i 6spd
G35 Coupe 6spd
Lancer EVO RS

Maybe even a truck of some sort like a dodge 3500. I really havent narrowed down to what i want it maybe a very long time when i do, Since i was planning on keeping my car for 2+ more years. I didn't have a car in mind. If anyone has any suggestions. I don't want another maxima as i don't really like the 6th gen's that much and i don't think i want another 5.5 gen. I am looking at something sporty and luxury like the maxima was....

Sorry for your loss. It's good to hear no one got injured. I know you mentioned the 540i 6spd, but have you considered the 3 series?

*has a moment of silence for the Gorgeous black 5th gen that so tragically bit it in a manner that is hauntingly familur to what happened to himself back in febuary*

I feel for you, it's this very reason why im **** about braking and tire performance, i had 75k oem bridgestones in the front, and a car with no brakelights ahead, smacked them and had $3400 worth of work. stupid adjuster and ins co. wouldnt let me get oem facia or hood, but no provision for CF or Aftermarket performance stuff either

I vote G35C 6MT (god i love this car with black interior, light blue or silver exterior) and those bronze-colored Brembo calipers mmmmmmmmm

Here is what I did when I wrecked my MX-6

I started a log of all the parts I could slang and made a list of who wanted what and the price. Then when the math cloud settled I was up more then the insurance company said it was worth. It might be different in this case as a mint condition mx-6 is barely worth a dime to begin with

Looks like he may have rear ended a raised truck. His bumper didn't impact with the bumper of the vehicle he hit which is probably why the airbags didn't deploy (airbag sensors are located in the bumper supports-so if the bumper doesn't collapse the airbags don't deploy).

That said, I think raised trucks are a menace on our roads and the cops should enforce the laws regarding how high you can raise a vehicle. They sure as hell give us enough crap if we mod our cars. Why not go after those fools who endanger all of us with their lifted trucks?

Seems like everyone has already wished you good luck so I will spare you those words but.....

Stay away from "undestructible" VW GTis..... make that stay away from ALL VW/Audi products. And IF you do end up buying a 540i 6spd, please get an extended warranty and make sure to read over the contract to see what is covered or not.

Did all the doors still open ok ? How does the roof and rest of the car look like ? When U look at the lines/spaces between body panels- are the gaps pretty much even ? If YES then it doesn't look like the frame got damaged to bad. I think with right hook up on parts you would need approx 2500 in OEM parts, and another 2K to put it all togheter. I used to work at a body shop, and I have seen worse... but it all depends on the rest of the car- how it took the hit.

Im going on monday to pick up all the stuff and take some more pics of the car. From what im told the car is pretty bad, the insurance guy was shocked that none of us went to the er or even needed an ambulence there. So i don't kno i will see how it looks on monday. Im kinda dreading the day that it comes for some reason. I don't really want to see her that way. But i guess i have to
