Once again... Then how on earth did they reprogram mine?

I watched the guy walk over to my car with the computer, go in and come back out in under 10min. After that, the car drove 100000000000x better, besides the coil problem.

Do you have the right filters w/ a MAF

Hey guys, saw that your talking about a possible MAF problem making your shifting a little off. I read a previous post about how even if you replace your MAF, you have to make sure you're running the correct air filter. If you guys have a K&N, or a FRAM... those filters let in stuff that the Nissan Filter won't, so might of messed up your newer MAF again.. check some of the MAF posts and you can see that a bad MAF can give your car:

crappy shifting
stalling problems
engine hesitation
rough idle on start

The do-it-yourself MAF sensor replacement is $90.

So read up and see if you're experiencing the same symptoms.

I'm replacing my MAF today (stalling and rough idle on start problems), and then I'm going to the Stealership for an air filter...

They are basically taking your money for no reason, Dave Burnette(arguably the best Nissan parts man in the country) has confirmed that replacement is the fix and reprogramming isn't possible....

Hey, thanks - I've been having these exact symptoms, and am taking the Max to the dealer next week under the powertrain warranty. Now I can show them what's up.

Thanks!

thats what I thought I remembered reading, I got into a fight with the guy at my local junk yard, they have an 01 max there, and I told him the TCM was separate from the ECM, and he kept telling me it was the same "brain box" Im gonna have to go there and show him. Then I won't have to get robbed by the stealership for doing nothing.
