Oxygen Sensor Blues : P0140 & P0160

About 3 months ago (plus 2 hours, and $225) I replaced the front 2 oxygen sensors on my 01 (83K). Now I have codes P0140 & P0160, which, from the TSB, indicate both rear O2 sensors need to be replaced. I have no performance problems, however, can't pass inspection in NY w/ codes, so I need to do something. I had a similar problem when my 96 hit that kind of mileage, and had to play the "next you need to change this" before I finally got the SES light to go off.

Is this something that I can throw simulators on, or will that do more harm than good? Where is the best/cheapest place to buy the sensors?

Change the sensors. Check Advance Autoparts, Autozone or Pepboys. Bosch replacements.

I put the simulator in mine and everything worked great for two years, but now the codes 140 and 160 are back. The simulator is blinking green. Is it supposed to have steady green? I forget.
