Resetting ECU

Has anyone tried this before?

Seems like a good alternative unplugging the battery for X- hours, losing presets and whatnot..

only works on the 5.5 + gens. I refer to it as the "up,up,down,down,left,right,left,right,B,A,Select, Start" method...

http://maxima.theowensfamily.com/ecu.asp Kind of a repost, this has been up for a while. Also disconnecting your battery doesn't really reset your ecu completely, the ecu has a Li-Ion back-up battery similar to a PC motherboard.
