How hard is it to replace the serpentine & power steering belt?
#3
In general, Haynes manuals aren't all that useful. I have one for every one of our cars and they're rarely informative.
The main serpatine belt is very easy to replace. The power steering one is a bit more challenging, especially if you have a stock exhaust system. On my 4th Gen, it was almost impossible to access the adjusters for the power steering pump because the stock Y pipe and pre-cats got in the way. Not so much of a problem anymore with a new Y.
The main belt can be replaced easily be removing the right front wheel and the wheel well shroud; the man crank pulley and the A/C compressor are directly behind it. The main belt tensioner is easily accessable from the top of the engine bay.
