Does everyone elses licsence plate light go out sometimes after closing the trunk? Just happened to me and then I realized I drove home from work with no licsence plate light. Is there a fix or I just have to be more careful? ( I never slam my trunk either)
EDIT: 2003 SE BTW.

 

Sounds like it's just a loose connection, or the bulbs going bad. Open up the housing and see if the bulbs are loose. Or better yet, replace them with new ones.
