Jumpy Speedometer

i thought i saw this already posted but it didnt turn up in my searches, and i didnt see it when i looked through a bunch of pages of old posts

speedometer needle isnt so smooth from like 60-80 mph, whats up with that

Speed sensor or bad cluster, thats probably all it could be.

more than likely, its the vehicle speed sensor. if you give it a while, you'll probably get a CEL and pull a vehicle speed sensor code.

Mine does the same thing, not huge jumps. It's not really noticable unless you're looking closely. It's not at a certain speed, it's not only my speedometer, my tach can be a bit glitchy as well.

I was wondering if this was just my car, or a common thing, my 4th gen was nice and smooth... when the speedometer was working of course... On big sub notes, my speedometer needle would drop to 0. A little tap on the clear plastic, and it would snap right back to speed.
