Diagnostic time: What do these codes mean?

Here's the short of it, while driving today I suddenly got the dreaded service engine soon light.
I noticed nothing in terms of anything obvious prior to it coming on...i.e. the coils going and giving me some rough idle the last time it popped up.

Anyhow my friend has one of the ole code readers and I asked him to plug it in and this is what we got back:

P0138 CKT slow response bank 1 sensor 2

P0139 sensor circuit high volts bank 1 sensor 2.

I cleared them out and nothing else so far.

A: What is this about?
B: Should I be worried?
C: Is this easy to fix if B is yes? And is there a write up on this already?

Thanks.

Now please tell me this isn't something i have to go to the stealership for. i have no desire to shell out more $$$ to them.

that being said the tsb seems to indicate goldmine for them to do this service. any suggestions?

You can use the linked TSB to DIY. You can either find some generic O2 sensors or get some OEM ones either from a dealership or from DaveB. His contact info is 1-888-254-6060.

p0138 & p0139

My 2k1 just pulled codes p0138 & p0139. How many actual parts are involved here? 1, 2, 3 or 4? The Advanced Auto Parts salesman listed 4 @ like $100 a piece. The service bulletin in this thread and my Haynes manual only show 1. Does anybody know which it is?
