Ac cycles cold and warm air

[B]My ac will blow cold then blows very humid air. it was doing this a couple weeks ago. I brought it for AC service, they checked it said it ws fine and added the AC stuff.
It seemed fine, but now with the big California heat it is blowing steamy air more then the cold, it just goes on and off, when the temp is very hot, when the temp outside cools it seems to not turn to the steamy/moist/humid air. It's so muggy you can barely stay in the car. After a while it kicks back to the cold stuff, but you never know for how long....Any ideas???B]

I would think you should keep an eye on your temperature gauge and see if there is flucuation. There is a chance it could be your compressor as well, but usually when that blows its gone for good. The question I will ask you is does the humid air blow when the car is stopped? or has it blown humid when you are at speed, i.e. highway or above 35mph.

If your humid air only blows when your car is stopped and your temperature gauge is going up when you are stopped your water pump is gone and that could be why the temp inside the car changes.

If the hot air comes out when you are at speed, take it to a dealer cuz I have no clue whatsoever.

Good luck!

I'm not sure what you mean about temp gauge, the temp is set at 65, but it doesn't matter if I use auto, high fan whatever it does the same thing. It does it sitting at a stop or driving 80, they have no effect. I just had it recharged, two weeks ago. Fan blows as hard as ever just changes from cold to humid...it's brutal. The compressor seems fine, I would think if it was that it would either work or not, but this seems like the AC is shutting down for a while then turning back on......still Help
