Your OPINION please

Thinking about trading taillights with another org member. But I'm wondering how it would look 1st and if it's even worth it. Chrome Tails on a Green 2k:

Sorry about the crappy quickie 30 sec photchop. In a rush out the door.

Or just keep the dark SE tails. Mind you, my car now has 20 tint all around if that makes a difference. Let me know what you think. Thanks..

IMO, dark maxes get dark tails, light maxes get the chrome tails....so black, grey luster, green, and majestic blue get the black ones, silver, white, tan get the chrome. that light, baby blue color? red...

I'm going to say.. keep the black ones... every owner of the 02-03 wants to have 00-01 SE ones.. so it is up to yo at the end but I rather keep the black ones....... Don't get me wrong I like the chrome ones but I love the black ones

SE tails FTW! just because of the simple fact there isnt amber on the bottom half of the tail lights on the se tails.

Very true, the amber on the 2k tails is the biggest deterent. If it were easy to pop it open, there wouldn't be a problem. Ahhhh, decisions decisions.

In the end I'd like to have one of the only Green 2k2 "looking" Maximas around. I know another member did his front end swap, I was thinking both ends. Oh well, I'll sleep on it.

I changed my mind. I'll stick with my 2k SE lights based on the fact that I read that a harness is needed. I thought it would be plug and play, but if that's the case I dont have time to wait on a harness seeing as it's my only vehicle/daily driver.

To get the amber out you can use testors candy apple red tailight/bulb paint or you can just order blue batmobile overlays. I think I am going to go with the overlays jsut so I don't screw up my tails.

I agree. Go with the chrome tails. Just got them for my sterling mist 01' GLE and they look great.
