Tsudo Catback Installed

well i installed the tsudo today and it said 3" piping on the site with 4.5" outlet and its actually after measuring the openings a 2.5" pipe with 4" outlet... but whatever i went ahead and installed it and it isnt as loud as i thought it would be. it is alot deeper and a little more hummy but i kinda like it. it has a couple bots where you can swivel the plate inside the tip to open or close the amount of "outlet". havent messed with different settings on that yet but for the money i suppose its going a pretty good job.

its a good thing that it's not 3" piping. that would have killed your exhaust flow velocity - effectively reducing power or showing little to no power gains.

you could always buy two of them..and custom fit it at a muffler shop...the price of one is definitely affordable to buy two!

i know that plate at the end is suppose to be removable... how the hell do you remove it? it looks a little tacky and i see the bolts at the bottom, i know its two pieces but i cant pull that thing out pulling as hard as i can. anyone know an easy way to take that end "swivel" piece out?

Need headers back plus safcII to get decent gains?

A 95max was my first car and I really didnt mod it, my last vehicle was a mildly modded evolution so you can see why I would like to know if there was any added power felt.

Headers + b-pipe is my recommendation.

AF tuning depends on how screwed up AF is regardless of whether the car has headers or not. IIRC, an almost stock 5.5 Gen gained 10-14 whp from AF tuning alone.

Btw, I posted this for you before, not sure if you saw it or not:

http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...2&postcount=27

Cliffs: N/A Maximas gain much much less than turbocharged cars like EVOs, WRXs, etc from upgrading the cat-back.

Did you want pictures of the Tsudo specifically? Or just of a rear section install?

puppetmaster, I did not see your other post, but thank you for the information. This will definitely help me in decision making. I had no clue you could gain that much from just A/F tuning, something I am giong to look into in the near future. Do you recommend SAFCII or other A/F tuning?

I'm not trying to jack the thread, sorry, but I cant wait to see pics either!

For basic piggybacks, VAFC-II & SAFC-II are the most common around here. The VAFC-II is preferred because it has more tunable points. For advanced piggybacks, the Emanage Ultimate seems to be the best, while the Emanage Blue is pretty good too. I think people have given up on the SMT6/7.

For more details and opinions on these, look around the Advanced Performance forums like Forced Induction and All Motor. There are also some basic details in my stickied 5th Gen header thread.
