time for a change

so the CF look has to go, really. a lot of you know my ongoing saga with this stupid trunk, and i dont want it anymore. eventually im going to have to get the car back as close to stock as possible, so for the trunk and hood im going to do that now. i am going a small step further and getting the trunk shaved of course

but what other subtle changes can i make? i plan on keeping my CF eyelids, cuz i love those things and that curved style is impossible to come by now. so now i think i might need something small in the rear that is also CF to match. i just got the grill painted body color, so that will look really good with an OEM hood.

anyway im rambling. so any kind of SUBTLE exterior changes that you guys can think of? it has to maintain the clean look, and of course our trunk is lame and not condusive to a lip spoiler. open to suggestions

EDIT: I contemplated a dual exhaust setup in the rear, fake of course. making the drivers side of the Stillen rear look the same as the passenger side with possibly some Porsche style dual tips on each side, but i dont think the openings in the Stillen lip are identical, so that might be out of the question.

change the clear sidemarkers to smoked (the self-made kind, not the ghey CE ones)......

change door handles to get rid of the chrome

besides that....your car looks slick, don't do anything else!

my sidemarkers actually are smoked now, pretty damn dark too, i wasnt happy with the results until they were almost black. you can see it in the most updated pics. the door handles are definitley an option tho, good suggestion, as soon as i find some!

ah nice...

also, if your OEM trunk is spoiler-less, you could go with the G35 spoiler, which has a nice, clean look to it IMHO.

i think irish hit on the few things i would do...G35 spoiler and body-colored door handles....other than that, your car is just perfect and everything flows very well.

Part it out and go back to stock, thats as clean as you're gonna get!

JK...I've always had this crazy idea of shaving the door mouldings...it's very impractical and not easy/cheap to do because the door steel itself curves outwards around the moulding, but hey, it's an idea...

I too, had contemplated this...but fitting the muffler under there does not appear to bea an easy task in the least...I don't think it'd fit...at all.

i thought about that too briefly, but it does seem that it might be very expensive.

i already started researching getting the door handles, ill have to chek with Dave B too.

i was also thinkin about molding the lips to the car, but nixed that idea because it would prevent me from ever taking them off again and selling them.

Just give me your car, I'll swap my interior into yours along with the FG trunk I am doing, then sweep all imaginable car shows on the east coast.

That will give you the opportunity to start fresh, AND, well...crap, that's all I got.
