Are all of the coils snapped down all the way?

I had one loose one and it was causing a misfire. pushed it down really hard so it finally snapped down... No problem since.

Mooze I have a 00 Maxima 5 Spd with the same exact problem.Look @ your front Cat when the car is warmed up and see if it is glowing red inside. If it is we have the same exact problem. Lets get this solved together!!

I also have a 5 spd. '02 and I acutally I had to change my coils because of multi-misfire... I could only order 2 (1 front and 1 rear) since it is still kinda new... but by looking at which spark plugs were rounded (there were three) I kinda guessed which coils were bad... but WARNING buying coils are rather pricey I spent close to $200 for a front and rear one... if you're having misfires though 9 times out of 10 the coil and sensor are bad and replacing them is the only way to go.

yeah you'll have to replace the whole set ignition coils/sensors (a rather pricey move) best way to find out which ones are bad is by looking at your spark plugs (if you haven't already changed them)... if they are rounded and the others are sharp tipped (at least mine were) the rounded ones were the misfires... i used to have the this problem and I could only order two coil sets (1 front. 1 rear) for my 2k SE and it ran me $200 but the problem was solved...

Your MAF could be bad and may need to change it's a major problem with the 5th and 5.5 generation max
