I'm taking my car in at 6AM for the 5th time for the same two problems the fuel-cut TSB and the brake rotor TSB, If it is not fixed this time, I will be driving to Nissan HQ (in Cali I think) and they will get their POS 2000 SE in their lobby! Then I'll go postal on them. If they wont help me get this warranty work done then their just as worthless as the dealers.

In NY, that (having the same problem 5 times) officially makes the car a lemon.

You should definitely do this, I believe they gave you this info when you purchased the car....

When you get near So-Cal, let me know so we can both roll to Nissan HQ. It's about 30 minutes from me. Speaking of postal, I'll be wearing my bro's postal uniform....you need a set, what's your size?

3 times for same problem and its a lemon. Make sure you have all paperwork for all your visits. Documentation is key. Good luck

Has the dealer actually performed work (and given you a statement saying what was done) or just said you problem is not covered by the TSB. If work was actually performed, your car would be covered by your state's lemon law. Check with your states WEB site to get the particlars for your state. Good luck.

THE DEALER DROPPED MY CAR OFF THE LIFT!!!!!!!! I now need 3 new doors, roof panel, front bumper, quarter panel, hood, and headlight. I will be without my car for 3 weeks, in the mean(sp?) time I get to drive a sentra GXE. I am on the phone with Niaan NA right now and all there going to do is fix my brakes and do my 30K checkup free of charge. They will be fixing it without a call to my insurance company.

I will keep you guys informed as I learn more.

That is completely unacceptable. If the car was dropped, I would try to demand a new car. The car just won't be the same regardless of what they fix. Given the previous problems with it, try and push for this. Good luck!

Oh my god!!! I can't imagine anyone could be this stupid! You're in a position to make some serious demands here. New car, trade-in on a 2002 with a hefty discount.. Good god, how do you drop a car off a lift? I've only used one a couple of times in a friend's garage, but it's not that hard. Plus the ones at the dealer are just drive-on, drive-off. Hope everything works out okay. Demand a better rental!!

That's ridiculous! I'd go with UMD's suggestion and if they don't give you more than an 30k checkup, it'll be pretty difficult to not go postal!

keep us posted on your dealings with these jokers. I think you definitely want to get your insurance, BBB, and every consumer protection agency on these guys. They dropped your car off a lift. From the damage you listed, that is like getting into an accident. If the frame was damaged, the car will not be the same anymore....

Your lawyer will probably demand a lot on your behalf (and maybe even get his fees paid!). It would be best for him/her to be aware of all the circumstances, including your ongoing problems with the car, just because the dealer may try to assert that the car was damaged goods before he started (since you had had the same problem in 5 times already) and thus worth less in settlement of your claim (sounds kinda like a Catch-22, no?).

Don't sign anything unless your lawyer says to!!

My lawyer said once the car is done being fixed we could sue them for over 100g for all kinds of different things. in witch case I will not buy another Nissan. Maybe Lexus GS 430, BMW 540i 6-speed

Stick with your lawyer! Please let us know what the outcome is, once the dust clears.

I drove a Lexus LS-400 for 10 years and 272,000 miles (no exaggeration) before my Maxima, and find the Max simply great...for a car in this price range. Just think what you could do with $100K.

Since he's not driving a 2000 M5, I guess the lawyer either lost or they didn't bring it to court....
