Broken seat

While I was adjusting my driver's seat it all of a sudden quit working and is stuck all the way back, which is farther than i want it to be. Is there anything I can do to manually move the seat up at least an inch or so.

I have had intermittent problems with my driver seat/switch. The front-back position has a moter with a worm gear that moves the seat and it is possible to manually spin the worm gear by hand, reaching under the seat. My front seat height does not work and so I do this if I need to adjust it up some.

On occassion it can get jammed and once you free it up it will start to work again.

I don't think there's any way to manually move them.. try troubleshooting the problem - might just be a fuse that's blown or some faulty wiring.

This is a common problem with 2000-2003 Maximas/I30s/I35s. Basically the motor is going and must be replaced. There is a TSB out on this.
