Beware Of The Nowhere Land Gas Stations
Hello all my Maxima ridin' folks!
I took the time to warn you all of infamous gas station tricks of certain Gas stations if you so happen to make long trips, as i do.
I have no certain idea if this has already been posted, so don't rag on me if it has.
These gas stations can be identified by having rather current names like BP and Shell but the pumps look very old. The gas stations are pretty much ran by old guys and their gas(even the high priced 93 octane that I only use in my max) is completely watered down to the point to where it trips off my ses light prompting the code for slow response, and high voltage level o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. And i would say after I burned away some of the gas and refill, within a few hours the light goes off.
This incident happened twice and it assured me that the gas could very well be the problem as to why our o2 sensor would act up. Especially if you installed a brand new o2. Has this ever happened to anybody?
Because I noticed that the car runs more sluggish and burns gas quicker. But after I refill in town the car picks up and burns gas as before and my ses light goes out.
It was just a thought on my behalf, and may help us all save money on having to buy o2 sensor and replace the brand new ones that you may have already installed.

I water down my alcohol for my SE-R.
But seriously, do you think the owner is diluting the gas, or do you think its just old? There should be laws or something to make sure the gas is good just like the good til XX/XX date on milk. Did the gas smell funny?
