Hey guys, Cooling question ?

Hey guys. I usually hang out in the 4th gen forum and the s/c forum but i need some 5th gen help

I recently put in a DEK motor in my car, 8500 miles that sat for 4 1/2 years. I got everyhing in, up and running and good.
**I notice that the Upper Rad hose gets Really pressurized. I didnt realize it being that bad on my DE motor.** kinda strange

I wanna rule out a few things like hopefully I didnt leave a rag in there that I had protecting it, or that the motor thermostat in the middle is still ok and working. After I started the motor, I took off that bolt on the top of the inside thermo, and bled the system for any air..no air was in there..I connected the bottom log with the top log, that little coolant line (refer to second pic) together. Would that effect anything ??

Thanks for any help guys, and heres a pic of the final swap:

how pressurized? like you can tell that there is too much pressure in there by looking at the hose?

More by feel. Just pressurized, Not really blowing the hose or fittings kinda pressurized, but just pressurized by feel

Does that center bolt on the middle thermostat get tightened completely, or stay lose ??
