Emergency brake light always on, where is the switch?

This started happening a few weeks ago. Now that it is cooler, it is always on. Used to just be for the first half hour in the AM. Where is this switch located and how do I get to it?

Thanks

you need to add some brake fluid.

That was it.

Thanks for your help.

I never would have thought to check that.

If the light is on due to low fluid level it is essential that you check for leaks as well. Check around all four calipers and hoses for obvious leaks. If the system is "tight" the light should not come on due to the normal drop in level due to pad wear if the system has been maintained correctly.

IF it's not the fluid...

Switch is located beneath the middle console. Remove that, and you will see the contact switch that completes the circut for the e-brake. There are two metal points that come into contact when the brake is engaged.
