Lost a bolt somewhere in the engine bay

Hey, I changed my suspension yesterday and after loosening the strut bolts, it's stuck somewhere. This is the passenger side strut bolt, so it's near the drive belt/pulley. I even shook the car hard but the damn bolt won't fall to the ground. I am concerned it'd be a problem in the long run (took a short drive and it was running fine). Out of 10, how much should I be worried?

Missing bolts from my suspension would concern me. You need to invest in a telescopic magnet and go fish for that bolt. It's probably not a huge deal but each bolt serves a purpose even if it's a small one.

If it's a strut tower bolt then I wouldn't worry too much about it, but I would replace it ASAP. I lost mine the other week in a strikingly similar mishap and was able to find a replacement for $1 at Auto Zone...

If you read my post, I said it didn't fall onto the ground. It's still somewhere in the engine bay.

I have like an extendable magnetic wand, the thing is.... I can't see the damn bolt.

i doubt that you were watching every inch of road while you were driving on your short test drive (read that in ur post as well) so it prolly feel out then unless u hear in knocking around somewhere it not there

My test drive consists of hard acceleration and hard braking of about 30-40 feet long and yes I looked for the ****ing bolt on the ground on that stretch of road afterwards. I appreciate your opinion and others and I think I just have to replace the missing bolt. BTW, don't get me started on your grammar.....

YIKES! Who cares where it's at, as long as u replace it. The dang thing is probably jammed up in a corner or something. It aint gonna do nothing.

Same thing happened to me... Not in the front though, the back when chaning the rear passenger side one. It fell in there somewhere and I looked for a good hour with a magnetic long thingy I have to no avail. I gave up and replaced the Nut...
