What are those plastic (sticker like) things on the bottom of the rear doors?

I asked my dealer and he said that know body knows and that I should just leave it alone and not peal it off. Does any1 know what i am talking about?

I noticed that too. But I didn't want to touch it in case it was painted over.

Yeh, too bad mine is all chipped ABOVE the guard. But yes, that's what it's there for.
