I put in a LAME pep boys like 1/10th watt blue light into my map/convenience light (front near the windshield with the little push button.) Now I can't see anything it is soooo dim.

Anyone know what KIND of bulb this is, and where i can buy a BRIGHT BLUE bulb for it?

Dealer only has clear bulbs, like most retailers. If I wanted a clear bulb, it would be very, very easy. I want BLUE.

Does anyone know what TYPE of bulb and where to get a BRIGHT BLUE one?

I got the answer to your question Anthony...

Polarg Hybrid M-16 (no, not the rifle). Jane and I have them as our dome lights

Polarg Hybrid M-26... map light.

The both are blue, but sort of dim. Sorry, no pics... but they can be available upon request.

On my old max, I took the white map light and painted it with blue stuff from an arts and crafts store that you use to "stain" glass. The effect was a bluish tint but much brighter than the dim autozone bulb I tried in there. You can also adjust the thickness of the stuff to alter tint/brightness.

I really like that idea. Thanks!

Also, you're not limited the clear/red/blue if you want to do the inside of the car. Just have a few bulbs to monkey around with because you probably won't get it right the first time. I certainly didn't. Enjoy.
