driver's seat will not move

My drivers side seat will not move forward or backward. I know that there is a TSB NTB02-001C. My car has 79000 miles on it. Are they suppose to fix this ? No, I don't have a warranty.

I was quoted about $500 for replacing the motor. 384 for the part and the rest is labor.

Can someone school me

thanks

Mine has the same problem and i'm 6'6. I was able to whack the motor a few times and put the seat all the way back. I don't want to touch it until I get a new motor. I think you can buy the part yourself from pinnacle nissan for 199.

If you are skilled enough to do so, you can remove the motors from the seat and dissassemble them and clean the brushes and commuter on the motors. It's easier then it sounds. This will fix it.

I did the same thing....took out the motor and cleaned it up a bit...Used cotton swabs and alcohol and put it back in, works just like new now!

After a few years, electrical parts gather dust on them and tend to slow down the motor...

This will def take care of that problem

Seems to work well in most cases. I did this on a pathfinder. The brushes were all black and burnt looking. Just sanded them down a bit and has worked great for the last year or so. The motors really are easy to take apart. just two screws, and it pulls apart.
