Only difference for 5th gens is when you get to the housing there is only one screw you have to unscrew on the bottom of the foglight before pushing on the back of it to pop it out.

OK., Now to disconnect the Fog before unscrewing... The housecor site says push a tab to pull out the harness... Which tab is this? This is what I see....

to disconnect the harness - push in that tab with the lines across it
to remove the entire harness - its underneath the harness...where it connects to that black medal bracket. it will pull away from the fog light housing

I tried doing it on Saturday and it was nearly impossible. I wll buy Jack Stands and do it. I needed to buy jack stands anyway. This makes as good excuse as ever.

I found it so much easier to do from under the car. on each side there's a 10 mm bolt, a phillips-head screw, and a regular body clip.

remove those and push the plastic covering out of the way.
use a 10 mm ratchet and remove the 2 nuts behind the foglights. unclip the harness and push the foglights out. that's it. i suggest placing a rag or something in front of the fog lights so they don't fall out and crack when you push them out.

Yeah, it took me like 10 min on each side to do it from the bottom, it was pretty easy...as long as you have a jack...

I'm sure my problem was the being uncomfortable under an un-raised car. Will definitely buy Jack Stands this weekend and try again.

Here's another write-up for ya:

Good luck - I haven't tried it from the top but with ramps it was not hard at all.

while replacing mine, i adjusted them a few turns of a 8mm box wrench and found them to work alot better than before. i realize fog lights are to light directly down in front of the car but being low to begin with and the car being lowered, it really help out.

ur comments dont apply here the 5.5 gen fog light assembly is different from the 5.0 gen

the harness tab was very hard 2 push in and take out
the fog assembly was also very hard to pop out
i would suggest a hammer or rubber mallet

good luck

If it was that hard for you, you have some "special" problems...

If it was done right, it takes less than 3min to get each of them out and it takes little effort.

I personally think taking them out from UNDER The car is much easier. All you have to do is pull back the splash guard and they are right there... Easy access to the 10mm bolt on the bottom, harness, and tab to push out.
