Heated steering wheel?

"There's also an optional 6-speed manual shifter, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake force Distribution, standard High Intensity Discharge(HID) xenon headlights, an LCD trip computer, heated seats and steering wheel, and an optional Nissan Navigation System. "

Am I reading this correctly..."Heated steering wheel"

I think so... BMW has been putting them on cars for a while now. Seems stupid to me, but I live in Florida, so I have no idea if it would actually be useful. I'm more interested in their Brake Assist thing... technical info, etc.

try holding the steering wheel with ungloved hands after the car's been sitting overnight in -20C weather... then you'll appreciate the heated steering wheel

not a necessity, but a "nice-to-have" on a flagship model

cheers

This is what I call a "fake" review, where they just reword the company press release, without actually testing the product. All the pics are from the Maxima press pages. So this article is like maxima.org, just two weeks late.

Just my little rant.

Hmmm

1) They say there is a 5 speed and an optional 6 speed. I thought the 6 speed was the only manual available.

2) relocation of the system's unique lateral link to behind the rear beam was done in 2000, not 2002.

Don't forget that the 6 speed will only be available October-ish, so they might call that an option. Also They will probably only put the 6 in the SE and leave the GXE with a 5 (or no stick at all?)

I'm pretty sure they're dropping the GXE for 2k2.
