ventilation button led's burned out...

ventilation button led's burned out...

want to replace 2 of the led's that are burned out on my ventilation buttons, is this pretty easy?

mine are burnt out too. Just take the unit out and the back cover off and you'll see the bulbs. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

It is pretty easy to replace them and it is cheap. Call the dealer ahead of time, most do not stock the bulb.

While you are in there, you night as well as replace them all.

BTW, is this an Auto Climate Control, or standard?

Its auto climate. Thanks for the advice. Little problems like this drive me nuts. Must be obsesive compulsive.

You could always do what i did and turn them into LEDs, as they are actually bulbs from the factory. Much cheaper (~$8 per at dealer vs. about 25cents for the LED setup) More time though.

I got mine for $4 a bulb from the dealer...

LED's are also much more work and way to bright for me. I just happen to prefer the stock bulbs.

I just did this....it's not a total cakewalk if you're not experienced, but not too bad. The biggest PITA is all of the wiring harnesses plugged into the back of the console that need to be unplugged to get it out and then plugged back in.
