adding sensor to the factory alarm...

Someone added a sensor to their factory alarm so if the car was bumped, it would go off.....tried sticky and search, no luck. Anyone info would be appreciated...thnxs.

I did some research on this when I first got my Max. I believe the manufacturer that produced a shock sensor was Code Alarm and it's an add-on to the factory alarm. I ended up going with an aftermarket alarm anyway because the price was good.

Yah I would be interested in adding a sensor too, code alarm you say, do they have a url?

hey thanks alot man called my local store, it's 49.00+25.00 install.

A friend of mine added it to my alarm. He gave the actual sensor to me for like $20 and then installed it under my stering wheel ( a little to the left of it). Then entire thing took hime about 5 minutes. Now it works fine. The guy did it for me and a friend of mine too. I set mine to when ever something bumps my car it starts going off. But my friends alarm goes off when ever some car with a load exhoust or large truck goes off--> its actually really enoughing.

Would you know the part number of that sensor and the wire connections under the steering wheel column?
BTW: your lights dang bright! Is that why olice: wear his shades?

Part number hmmm I think it's just IT-S not sure though. BTW if anyone can tell me where I can order this sensor or anything similar to it I would be grateful the store near me charges 49.00 like I said earlier, tried ebay with no luck...
