I'm sure a cheaper route with the same effect would be Cattman?

That was the owner/installers choice. Those universal Borla exhausts general come tipless or come with a nice round vented tip customary to Borla's patent tips.

Me too. There was a link to a Cattman clip on that same youtube page & I thought the Borla sounded a lot better.

That sounds awsome, but I think its just a mufler upgrade only

My friend has a magnaflow muffler only on his 2k2 and it sounds like that.

(you wont get any hp gains)

I bet that exhaust would be alot louder with a b-pipe or even y-pipe or headers..

Is there anyways to contact the guy that posted the video thought you tube?

it's only a universal muffler from Borla with a aftermarket oval tip welded to it. You can buy them at several locations.

I bought one several years ago for my previously owned '96 G20 for around $100+ shipped. I thought it was www.bigexhaust.com, but apparently they only carry Magnaflow anymore.

From the video, it looks like he painted it black and it is one of these models (center/center)...

edit: price was higher than I remembered...

That would be a correct statement. It also bounces all over the place. Whoever installed that did the hangers wrong or something. Massive sway!

once he starts changing more of the exhaust, it will get MUCH louder... That is only a muffler swap.

Sounds like it is stock from the b-pipe on up to the manifolds.

I had Borla Turbo Mufflers on my SHO and it had a deep low tone, not riceys at all. I think I'll do the same to my Maxima.

i think there is a cattman rear ONLY setup somewhere lying around the forums...it sounded just as good as the borla if you ask me...nice and mellow...deep as well

but thats just how maximas sound with only the rear section...once you start adding stuff, it gets real amplified
