could a big puddle cause p0138
We had some major rain in Jersey yesterday and in order to get home I had no choice but to go through some rather deep puddles (one looked more like a lake actually). All was fine until this morning, when I was greeted by a cel right after starting the engine: Luckily the car drove just fine. I stopped by autozone after work to check the cel and came up with a p0138 - indicative of bank 1 sensor 2 failure. Is it possible that the sensor is still ok and this fault has been tripped by water getting into the connector? Many thanx.

Sensor could have gotten wet... But I don't think water alone is enough to harm them. The primary on my front bank has to get soaked all the time and it has been fine for over a year.
I would reset the ECU/ clear the code and see if it comes back.
If it does not come back in a few days, you are all set. If it does, replace it.

Yes, your car should know in under a half hour if they are fine... I just said a few days to play it safe and make sure it did not want to come back on.
