Weird dome light problem: turns on when bulb is pushed up

Weird dome light problem: turns on when bulb is pushed up

My dome light has been out for a month now, and I did a little investigating. All fuses and whatnot are fine, all other bulbs working as usual. BUT, my dome light will only turn on when I press upwards? I bent the little metal tabs and nothing works unless I push up, ideas?

Any loose wires behind/within the light?

I have not taken the assembly apart yet, but I guess now I have to to diagnose further. Just remove the screws right? And it falls down?

$hit...it's been awhile since I had that thing open...I can't remember.

I'd start removing visible screws and where that doesn't work - start squeezing/sliding the assembly.

The FSM might have something on it too.
