Weird Window Problem
Weird Window Problem
ok well I am having problems with the passenger side front and rear window. From the drivers seat controls they work perfecty fine, but from the passenger side controls they go down fine but dont go back up...?.. at first i only noticed the passenger side window and thought it was the button going bad then i realized that the back one does the same thing. is it just a coinsidence? could it be electrical? and any advice on fixing this problem? do you think just putting new buttons will fix it?
Thanks in advance guys

Spray some silicone down in there window rails.
yea, i have the same problem. the button on the front passenger side window ocassionally doesn't wanna work, but the control on the driver side always works for that window. i'm thinking its a faulty switch, have yet to fix it. lemme if you fix it.

Ditto on the power windows... my front passenger and rear driver's side switches are bad. Same symptoms. I can control it from the front driver's controls fine, but at the affected door themselves, they either don't go up or down.
When i first bought my 00 max the pass front window did that. So me being so smart I took apart the pass switch and thought I fixed it cause the pieces inside were all messed up. So when I plugged it back in it smoked and toasted the main switch and passenger switch. So I had to pay for 2 new switchs. Then recently my Driver auto down would go all crazy and the pass window did the same as it was before. I took it out and pushed the harness in all the way. Now it works perfect all the way around. Just might help ya out!
