How to remove the governor from your Maxima
I was bored and messing around with my car (1993 Maxima GXE with the VG30E) and I decided to see if the gas pedal would go down further and make the throttle body move further if I removed the plastic brick from under the pedal. So I had my friend put the pedal to the floor and I wiped off a thin line of dirt on the engine block where the throttle body was at its max position. I then removed the single Phillips Head screw and pulled the brick off. Then I had him put the pedal to the floor again and the throttle body actually moved slightly further this time (probably about 2mm). I then took it out on the road to experience the difference. It is hardly noticeable when going slow but if you are on the express way and gun it, it seems to make a much bigger difference. It makes a significant difference in the car's top end speed. My mom has a 2003 Maxima GLE which has one of these too and it's the same thing. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't give a thud that is as satisfying when you slam the gas as it did before. I am wondering why Nissan put it there in the first place. The car runs just fine when floored with this and doesn't make any different noises and still shifts at about 5800-5900 RPM (yes, I have an automatic unfortunately). I don't know if the VE30DE engines have this but you should look to see if you have one. It's a pretty sweet find since it gives you more power and doesn't cost a dime.

Also, your throttle body does not open up any further. The 2mm raise you saw in the front lowered the inner part of the valve 2mm. The throttle body valve at WOT will be parallel to the intake, any further then that, and it's actually closing some. If that makes sense. But anyways, like Irish said, this thread will most likely be locked.
