catback exhaust options ?? 2002-2003
catback exhaust options ?? 2002-2003
Are the only options cattman, hks, greddy and frakencar(which is gone?)
Got off the phone with james at tanabe usa. trying to see if they would manufacture a system for us. He said demand is not there..they need at least 50-100 people interested. Can we do something about this?
Also want to talk to fujitsubo but they are hard to reach. The guy is not very interested. Man business is tough when the demand is so low..
Well any opinions or thoughts would be nice...

I would say tht Cattman B pipe and stock rear section would be the best option.
Why have something desienged when there are already choices out there? I realize it's good to have options, but I wouldn't spend the energy on something as simple as a cat-back.

Throw some Magnaflow tips on the stock exhaust and you're set. I am completely happy with mine.

Does anyone know the diameter of the stock piping to compare?

and yes, FC, Cattman, Greddy, etc...are the only catbacks available for our cars...

I dont know if this contributes to anything, but I just got off the phone w/ Brian from Cattman and placed an order for a bpipe for my 03 max to go along with my cattman rear section. He said the full catback exhaust should run somewhere around 223 on the dynojet and it should add a good 12-14hp. Dont know if these numbers help, but its a pretty nice gain
you will gain more power with the b-pipe. Im kinda in the same boat, i want the cattman c/b and i know im just going to pay for the sound vs. performance.
put the cattman exhaust sounds so god damn good!

Have you tried Stillens Muffler and cat back options. I still have a stock 03 but the Stillen Muffler is supposed to be a 3 or 4 hp gain and have the sound of a stock 350z. Pretty quiet I guess. They also have a HKS that looks like the stock one but I think its loud.

EDIT: I just re-read the post, I was insinuating that I hit 223 when I was referring to the 215 figure.
