My '01 Max is fitted with in-cabin microfilter but nowhere in the manual does it tell me when this is so I can change it when necessary. Anyone out there know about it?

I believe it's accessed through behind the glovebox.

Go to: http://www.courtesyparts.com/ and look for the filter.. they have directions listed on the site.

Re: Microfilters

Having recently installed these, here's my .02:

The filters are located behind the glovebox. The instructions from Courtesy help, but it can be a little difficult because you need to remove the glovebox and the lower dashboard in order to access the filters.

A couple tips:
- If you can get a extra set of hands to help you, do it. It's an awkward area to work in while holding up the lower dash.
- Very easy to lose the screws that secure the dash! They can fall between the interior molding gaps, which is basically a blakc hole from whence nothing returns. :-) Use a magnetic screwdriver if possible.
- There are clips that hold the upper right section of the lower dash in place. They have a habit of popping off; make sure you don't lose them.

I thought it would be easy and it turned out to be an adventure. Still, it is worth it, as you can smell/feel the difference (or lack thereof).
