LED Tails: The video

Well after a year and two prototypes and a lot of learning. Here are the results:

Comparison
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...26042939&hl=en

Should have the other side complete tomorrow.

The bulbs used are lumileds which are leds you'll find in most LED units that come on mercedes and infinitis, etc.

upload to youtube....and take shots from farther back with the camera sitting on a solid object so it's not moving around so much. Hard to tell anything on that vid.

Good work very understated and classy much better than the rice LED's that ICWP came up with for the 5th Gens.

Those look way better than anything I've seen so far. They look OEM bright and retain the stock housing, which is the only way I'd buy LEDs. I'm surprised no one's asked this question yet, but are you planning to sell some?

Looks great. All red 2002-2003 LED tails would do it for me.

If I provided the donor tails, how much would you want to do the conversion?

Unforunately making these tails aren't cheap...with the PWM, voltage regulators, load resistors, and LEDs. $325 with donors $450 without.
