question about 02 headlight install

hello everyone I just bought a pair of 02 headlights on ebay and im working on them right now clearing out the blinker ae mod and angel eyes and eye lids. I finished one side and I searched on boardtracker and I found some writeups. I figured out the high beam and low beam I just cant figure out the park light and the blinker.

Also on a stock 02 maxima when you turn on the low beams does the blinker light up and the park light?

Or is it low beam and park light and then the blinker turns on when you turn it on?

Which one is it?

I would like to wire it up when the low beam is on only the park light is on and the only time the blinker is on is when you turn it on.

i think that's how they work. when i turn on my lights only the low beam turns on. i took out my parking light cuz i don't like them but those stay on with low beam. the turn signals don't come on unless i turn them on. sorry not sure what you're asking i bought a set from ebay too and i just plugged mine in and they worked.

edit: nevermind...sorry didn't see you had a 00 maxima

When wiring the HID's in the 2k-2k1's you have to wire it as if the car is a 2k2-2k3. So, in saying this, when the low beams are on, the parking light is on with the low beams. The blinker is only used for turn signal purposes only. This means it only turns on when the turn signal switch is being used. When the high beams are on, the HID's (low beams) should stay on also. As for the blinker, you can cut it owns ground wire and wire it to the chassis of the car so that it doesn't share it's ground off the headlight harness. That is how I have mine wired. This is so the blinker doesn't flash with the HID's.

First, do you have the headlight harness kit? If not, you definitely need this. But, as for the blinker, take the positive wire from the turn signal (red/yellow) and wire it to the (green/white) of the headlight. I'll help you more if you PM me. This is a touchy subject in listing these instructions in public view because of the high rate of theft of these headlights.

You can do a neat job and just shave the rubber wire sleeve. so that just the wires are exposed and make your connection there

No matter what you do, you have to end up cutting the wires in order to make the connections work (unless you have the male/female plug harness to connect the plugs--which I highly doubt). Do what I did....I used male/female qick disconnects on the wires so that I can make the transition of going back to the halogens much easier and quicker if I decided to. Takes me less than a half hour to do the whole swap (I did it before once).
